The IJN Mutsu (陸奥) was a Nagato-class battleship of the imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. Funding for the ship had partly come from donations from schoolchildren. In June 1943 one of her aft magazines detonated while she was at anchor, sinking the ship with the loss of 1,121 crew and visitors.
I recently came across some photo-albums of Nagato and Mutsu so I decided to make some new high-poly models of both using this additional reference material. I also added some comparison images of their bridge and aft superstructure.
